International Conference on 24th November in Hamburg: the speech by Mass Line - Holland

Solidarity Message to the People of India from Mass Line, Netherlands

The people's war waged by the Indian masses in the heartland of India is the cutting edge of the revolution and the people's resistance. The so-called Tribal Belt in central and eastern India is at the centre of the whole struggle. But the people of India face intense state repression in every part of the country. The Indian state is waging a war against the people of India.

In vast areas of India’ both rural and urban, the state is at present suppressing and repressing various sections of the population, such as, eviction of squatters, displacement of people in different localities, imposing nuclear energy power plants against the wishes of the people. Moreover the state repression against peoples’ rights, such as freedom of expression, assembly and association are being taken away with each passing day.

People involved in civil liberties and democratic rights are threatened with imprisonment and even torture, and so are progressive journalists and intellectuals who speak out against the rampage of the state against the people. Revolutionary organizations such as the Revolutionary Democratic Front are banned in several places. The state’s war against the people is many sided.

India today is still under the grip of imperialism. It has a semi-feudal and semi-colonial social system. It is this social system that the Indian people must fight to end.

In the revolutionary parallel governments people's democracy has shown itself to be the alternative to exploitative state power. In these places, where they are creating a political, economic and social base for the future socialist state, they are protecting the interests of the toiling masses by ending all discrimination and chauvinism, distributing land to poor and landless peasants, producing a new scientific and democratic culture and recognizing the rights to self determination for oppressed nationalities and national minorities.

We fully support the Indian people’s war with the Indian state. We wish it every success and wish that the Indian people under the leadership of CPI-Maoist will continue the struggle until victory. That is, the accomplishment of the New Democratic Revolution, precursor to the socialist revolution.

It is time that people of the world stood up and oppose the Indian comprador-bureaucrat ruling class. And it’s time we organize ourselves with the dedication and determination for this purpose. A gigantic mass movement of peoples around the world should be built in order to give practical support to the people of India on concrete issues surrounding state repression. This is also a support for the people’s war in India in practical terms.

The people's war in India is not only an inspiration for freedom-loving people around the world, but it's also an example to follow. We should learn from their experiences and use what we can use against a common enemy.
Their struggle is our struggle.

Long live the Indian Revolution!
