PCI m western regional commitee press release for Prashant Rahi and JNUstudent Hem Misra

Naxals protest arrest of Prashant Rahi, Hem Mishra
NAGPUR: The Naxalites have criticized Gadchiroli police for arresting freelance journalist Prashant Rahi and JNU student Hem Mishra, and also rounding up two other research scholars. They have also condemned the saffron terrorists for eliminating anti-superstition activist Dr Narendra Dabholkar in Pune. In a press release, the Western regional committee (WRC) spokesperson Shriniwas has claimed that the Gadchiroli police have been framing social activists labelling them as Naxal sympathizers for their own vested interests.
The rebels have claimed that the cops have been trying to suppress the voices of the intellectual and activists to stop them from bringing fore the oppressive measures of the government forces. The government and its capitalist allies are eyeing the rich natural resources of the hinterlands at the costs of the lives of the tribal and their native places, they claimed. The rebels have also claimed that the cops have carried out fake encounters at several places across Gadchiroli in the last few months to eliminate those cadres, comrades, leaders and villagers who were engaged in mass struggle against government’s repression policy and exploitations.
