India - barbarian regime announces up to Rs 1cr for info on Naxals - intensify struggle and campaign against 'green Hunt' and support people's war

To step up pressure on the Naxal-infiltrated districts of Maharashtra, the state government on Friday announced lucrative cash rewards up to Rs 1 crore for information about various cadres of extremists. For the first time in the history of Maharashtra, such a big sum was announced for the informers for helping the government in nabbing Naxals. The cash reward will be paid to informants if the information provided by them helps in nabbing or killing the wanted Naxalite.
The reward has been divided into various categories based on the cadres that exist in the Naxal groups starting from `2 lakh up to `1 crore. “This is the best cash reward being announced by any state in the country. No other state is paying so much to any informant. I will term it as a bold step taken by the Maharashtra government,” said Amitabh Rajan, additional chief secretary for home. The state home department has even issued a Government Resolution (GR) for immediate implementation of the new reward scheme. According to the decision, an informant would be given a cash reward of `1 for helping in nabbing a general secretary or politburo secretary of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (a banned Naxal outfit). The cash reward is applicable only for Naxal infested Gadchiroli, Gondia, Chandrapur, Nanded, Yeoatmal and Bhandara district.
